Founding Story – Sun Vixen Swimwear
Sun Vixen Swimwear was conceptualized in 2016 when founder Opal Hurteau, was on vacation in Hawaii. After walking into a women’s boutique swimwear store and seeing all of the best brands and luxurious bikinis, she wondered why there wasn’t anything like this in Canada.
She began asking friends where they bought their swimwear. Opal learned she wasn’t alone. No matter where they shopped, women were coming up empty handed. There was a lack in the marketplace for luxurious swimwear for women - readily available to Canadians in Canadian dollars – eliminating any extra shipping or duties. So Opal created Sun Vixen Swimwear.
Canadians now have a place to shop year round for vacation outfits that are as luxurious as their destination. Sun Vixen carries swimwear inspired by places like Las Vegas, the Caribbean, Bali and Ibiza. Our swimwear will get women excited for their trip and ready to turn heads once they step off the jet.
